Trans lines problem

Ok I pulled the old motor out of a 1986 camaro sport coupe and I replaced it with the same motor and i got the motor and trans in place, then discovered my transmission lines going to the radiator were about of engine mounts and not below so I picked the engine up a little and wiggled the lines so they were below the mounts, now the transmission lines are not lined up with the radiator they are still to high and the bottom one won't even reach the radiator, Do i have to replace the lines or somthing? please help

If they're the same lines you took off, obviously they've been bent in the process.

As long as they aren't kinked, go ahead and bend them back so they fit. Just make sure they're routed properly first.

Re: Trans lines problem

Try bending without kinking first. If the lines are rusty, i would change them from the transmission to the cooler (cheap insurance for the future as old lines dont like to be meesed with). you can replace small sections of line with rubber transmission line. I would only go one or two feet max with the rubber line tho. if you choose that route make sure you use a heavy duty band clamp and not a screw - type ring clamp.
