1990 v6 RS engine problem
Hi
I have a 1990 v6 RS and it will start, but when I give it gas the car barley moves, it feels like it may not be getting enough fuel through the injectors or maybe there is something wrong with the engine. This happened about 24 hours ago, I started up the car and let it idle for a while, long enough for me to make a quick phone call, I started driving about 1/4 of a mile and then pulled into a parking lot to take a call, after I took that call, I pushed the accelerator, the car went normal for about a foot and then it felt like someone put the choke on, it lost all power. When I drive it, it feels like its in 5th gear or something (5th gear is an example, the car is an automatic) it does not have any rpm’s when I step on the accelerator or even when I open up the throttle manually under the hood.
…any ideas of what might be wrong?

I would check the timing, maybe change the plug wires check the spark plugs, also you could run some fuel injector cleaner in it too.

It could be a number of different issues. Check your fuel pressure and exhaust system first. It could be a clogged catalytic converter, or a failing fuel system component.
