Intake Manifold

I am building a 356 cu. in. SB for my 1987 Firebird. I am using Edelbrock Preformer RPM air-gap intake and Brodix Track 1 cyl. heads. What is everybodys opinion on the correct torque for the intake manifold bolts?

I have seen everything from 20 to 45 ft/lbs. I torqued them to 35 ft/lbs. Too much?

As long as you didnt strip the threads, you're probably ok, but I'd go with either the head mfg or GM recommendations next time... I think the GM value is 25ft-lbs.
