L03 has a black round air clenaer.....TPI has nice silver plenum and runners.

L03 TBI 170hp/255TQ

LB9 TPI 5 speed--can be single cat or dual cats...

205/285

or 230/300

I think thats right

The single-cat exhaust with the 2.25" cat-back is the 205 HP / 285 TQ version.

The dual-cat exhaust with the 2.75" cat-back is the 230 HP / 300 TQ version.

You can also look at your tachometer. If the yellow line is at 4500 and the red line at 5000 then you have the 205/285 engine.

If the yellow line is at 5000 and the red line at 5500 then you have the 230/300 engine.

I thought this stuff was covered in the FAQ or History section of this website. Read those sections linked from the front page of this website.

The engine is identical. Its the exhaust that is different. You have the smaller exhaust manifolds, smaller cat, and smaller exhaust on the 305 single cat cars. The TBI cars got the same exhaust as this.

The 305 dual cat cars got the bigger 350 TPI exhaust. That's the reason for the 25 HP more on the dual cat cars.
