oil leak on new 383

i built a fresh 383 recently and noticed when i turn the engine off, there is oil inside my crank pulley. it looks to be coming fron the damper bolt and being thrown all over the inside of the pulley. any info on why this is and how to fix it would be a great help.

Re: oil leak on new 383

Depending on how the balancer was fit to the crank. You might need to put a small amount of RTV on the snout of the crank. It also could be the front seal. If the motor sat fr a while before being started the seal might have dried up.
