87 bird, 2.8 liter, dies after it has been running for 10 to 15 minutes, seems flooded and usually starts back up after a few attempts with the pedal held to the floor. It also seems to me that the fast idle circuit does not disengage. Any ideas on how to disable the fast idle on this thing cause I'm a carb guy and this is my sons bird?

only code is fuel pump voltage....i figured out the car is missing the deceleratoin valve...
