LT1 cam in 305 tbi gains????
Hey guys i have a LT1 motor and will be building over a period of time but in the mean time if i take that cam and put it in my 305 what kind of gains in hp and tq can i get? Its a 96 out of a impala ss.

B-Car LT1/ Vortec Truck cam is a mild improvement over your Peanut roller. How much power? Depends on the support modifications and the tune. I have seen a 20 HP gain on a 305 Truck using this cam in place of its original "155" peanut on an otherwise stock but tuned engine.

Well i got flowmasters, 3:73, high performance shift kit w/ vette servo, then will a/c and emmisons gone including cat. But if it will only be like 20 hp then i dont see my time doing it? mabey for 25 or 30 for a fact! How much would it even cost for a cam swap?
