Rough idle and possible misfiring under load

Hey guys

So my car starting running really rough on my way to work the other morning. And it sounds like its mis firing when i give it gas. I had similar issue a few months back and i figured out it was the vacuum kick back for the choke.

I replaced that as well as did plugs, wires, cap and rotor and now a few months later its running like crap again. Im really banging my head on this one so any help is good help ha

thanks

jack up the front, and tap the cat, if you hear something rattle, that could be your problem.

Re: Rough idle and possible misfiring under load

I too am having this problem. I took the intake manifold off to reseal it and then when i got the timing readjusted it wouldnt rev up properly under a load.. it will idle a little choppy but will stay at idle 800 rpm. but as soon as i crack the throttle or even try to roll on the throttle it bogs way low, misfires and sometimes dies depending on wether i hold it or not... when it goes back to idle it is fine... I am so stumped at what it could be.. changed the IAC the TPS and MAP and still not fixed... Thinking it might be my fuel pump.. i am gonna pressure check it this weekend.. but yeah if anyone knows anything or has any tips please help...!

Re: Rough idle and possible misfiring under load

spray some carb cleaner around the intake manifold and vaccum lines. If its a vaccum leak the car should rev up when you spray the area its leaking from.
