My Car Stalls...little help?

After a drive for a couple of hours, like on the Freeway, after I get off the freeway or from a lengthy drive and when I stop at a light or stop sign the car drops RPMs and stalls. Most notably when I get to my carport there is a little bump incline and it has stalled out twice on me now when I have gotten home.

Car is a 86 Z28 with a 350 Small block, new 4 barrel Holly Carb, edelbrock intake, just put new Oil pump, oil sensor, Screen, pan, filter, Manual oil Gauge.
This engine has between 60 k and 70 k on it.
Any help would be helpful, theres not much more I can do to it.

Yes check these, espcially the FP relay. My buddy always had this hesitation when he took off from a stop or took a corner hard. We thought it was his MAF at first since it was dirty and old. Anyway we noticed his relays on the driver side firewall were a little choppy (dirty and showing wire). So we touched one of the relays just to see if it were moving, and boom car stalled instantly. We rewired a new relay on and he no longer has this hesitation and most of all his car wont stall out when we touch those wires/relays again.

Let us know after you check those.

The Fuel pump I think is only a couple years old. I'll check out the other stuff and get back to you guys. See I get a bit of a backfire sometimes and when you press on the gas it tends to stall sometimes a bit as well, but it catches and most times wont stall out. I'll let you guys know, I appreciate the help guys.

Re: My Car Stalls...little help?

Restrictions in the exhaust IE cat can cause some of these problems as well.
Is the timing set right also ?

Re: My Car Stalls...little help?

What about my EGR Valve? I had the Check Engine light come on and took it to a shop and they scanned it and said the error was related to the EGR Valve. Could that be the problem?

Re: My Car Stalls...little help?

Start the car, press on the diaphragm on the bottom of the EGR valve, if the engine stumbles when you push this in, your EGR is ok.
