wonderbar
im going to be installing a set of iroc z wheels. i ordered 245/50/16 sized cooper zeon tires for them. is a wonderbar required? i know that iroc's had wonderbars and i needed to know if the reason for that was to stiffen it up for the larger tires. is it just an extra part to improve handling or will something twist or break without it?

Re: wonderbar
is this what i need? they call it a wander bar, but i think it a misspelling. if i order through summit i will call them to confirm that is what it is. i will also tell them about the mistake in their website.

If you go to a junkyard, you can call it a 'steering brace', which makes it sound less "glamorous" to them, and generally get them for only $5 or $10.

Re: wonderbar
third gen camaros are becoming more rare in junk yards around here. i live in the rust belt, buffalo ny. most cars that have been driven in the winter have already been crushed. the only cars i have ever seen in the jy were v6 cars. i dont really think 40 bucks is that bad of a deal anyways, for a brand new part.

Re: wonderbar
Maybe Summit thinks the bar keeps the car from 'wandering' on the road
. While I run the Global West version and while I think it's a nice piece, Stephen is right: a junk yard nugget, if you can find one, is very cheap. The GM Wonderbar isn't as beefy as the various after markets, but I doubt that's a cause for worry. I like 'new' as well.
