Aftermarket cylinder heads are always a good performance gain, but how much depends on the rest of your combo, with a stock cam and exhaust manifolds the change will not be near as dramatic as with headers and a good cam. I see that you now have a 305, make sure you buy heads with 58cc chambers so that you will not lose any compression.

Keep your stock 305 heads. Put on better valve springs when you have them gone through. With cam, intake (and I hope you aren't taking off the stock q-jet - best street performance carb system out there), and exhaust, that will do all you need until you go to a 350. Even then, the heads will handle a 350 (as will the stock q-jet - it's the best street performance carb system out there).
