Re: How to remove plenum?
Why not help the guy out instead of berating him?
8 bolts hold the plenum to the runners.
To make it easier to remove you should at least loosen up 1 set of runners.
6 bolts hold the runners to the manifold. 5 on the outside and 1 is hidden on top of the manifold under the plenum.
Remove all vacuum lines and electrical connections to the plenum.
It should lift right out. It might be stuck to the gaskets but don't worry. You'll have to replace them anyway.

First I cleaned it as best I could. Then I sanded it down using 80 grit + sander, then 120 + sander, then 150 by hand, 200 by hand, 320 by hand, 400 by hand, 600 by hand, 800 by hand, 1000 by hand, cleaned again, eagle one polish, buff.

When it starts getting oxidized just get some very fine steel wool and go over it thats what i do to mine and it looks like you just polished it

Re: How to remove plenum?
I have some of that from there. I use it on my planes. I'll try it on my driveshaft before trying it on my intake as a comparison with my other stuff.
