i was woundering if anyone can send me a picture of a stock 305 tpi 85 trans am engine.

just got a 85 TA for free and willing to put some money into it but need to prob put some good ole work into it..... it wont start when i turn the ignition all it does is make a click sound repeatingly fast. and when he gave it to me he told me the fuel injectors were gone.... is that possible for all of them to go?

or is there a way to test it.


im sorry im not to knowledgeable about this but im going to take it one day at a time....please help

Those are some loaded questions! 85 is the first year for TPI in these cars. I would check the battery first. That fast click you mentioned could be the solenoid clicking due to low voltage. As for the injectors being gone, I would rent a set of "Noid lights" from checker or autozone and check to see if the ecm is firing the injectors (The guys at autozone/checker can show you how to use them) How long has it been since the car has run?

 

close to a year if not a little over a year... i finally got it to crank but does not start so im going from there.....
