Question is mainly about valve springs but I guess it would be nice to know others have used this cam with good sucess. But getting back to the question.
My 383 runs this cam with a set of World Sportsman II heads. My current valve springs are unknown but when these heads were on my buddies old 355; his cam was the XE284. Being that it was in the .520 range the springs might have worked fine and he mentioned that I'd be alright with the 280XFI and those same springs. Is this true? We both don't know what they are rated for so it's hard to say. What do you guys run or suggest me running instead? Thanks!

first, which block and rockers do you have? flat or roller, and 1.5:1 or 1.6:1 because the roller with 1.6s is .576" lift. This would certainly call for a set of 26918 beehives.
I have the roller version, sorry for not mentioning. 26918 eh? I was thinking of getting some beehives (had them on my old 357). These would work well? The cam is pretty aggresive with the ramps so I would need a beefy spring.

The 26918s are about the only thing that'll take that much lift without killing the roller lifters with too much open pressure.
