Re: gas tank capacity

you started out with half a tank?

ha ha im sure thats not the case, but have you ran in it out of gas and then tried to fill it? I had a similar problem with a lebaron that I used to have and I found out later that I had a huge dent in the top of my tank.

Were you using a fast pump, if the gas tank breather tube is dented or somehow plugged it could cause the gas to back up the filler tube and shut the pump off.

Re: gas tank capacity

Well the car died at the pump cause it was past E. Also i've been under the car to see if it was dented a while back and it wasnt. Everything seemed good. I know it can't be a different tank either cause its the original tank and i saw the part #
