umm can you look at a few plugs after it has sit for a while and b4 you try to crank it or even hit the key switch at all to see if there soaked in fuel but i kinda doubt thats it but better check it anyway to rule it out.The bogging sounds like your not getting enough fuel.Anytime an engin boggs it isnt getting enough fuel so its sounding like a cold star injector or cs switch problem.Look at the plugs first and well go from there

ahh after reading your post agin its sounding like a fuel pump problem or relay try this first have someone help you get them to try to start it while you spray some gas or starting fluid in the throttle body i use a windex bottle with gas myself it should fire right up.but try that first and see what happens

Re: 86 camaro tpi problems starting
lol sorry about the confusion i should have edit that message insted of just reposting but yea go ahead and check the plugs first real quick just to see if the injectors are bleeding pressure and flooding it on start up it happend to me on my 87 and i just went ahead and replaced them but anyway yea check the plugs then try to start it without spraying fuel into it and if it dosent start spray some gas or starting fluid into the throttle body and it should fire right up.If it does and keepd running fine its probly a cold start injector issue. If it just fires and dies and you can only keep it running by keeping on spraying fuel into it youve got a pump going out.Let me know what happens..
Re: 86 camaro tpi problems starting
FWIW, 60 is way too high for a stock setup. I don't even run over 50 on a TPI 355 running 19# injectors. The POS old style RP and Bosch injectors tend to go static at 60. It might be flooding.
Re: 86 camaro tpi problems starting
it has bigger injectors than stock not sure what size they came on the car when I bought it an has a bbk intake tha big box. I figured out the problem though, it was the computer thing in the distributer I replaced it like a month ago, but I tried the old one again and it fired up no problem no bog! wooohooo! thanks for the input though.

I have the same problem with my car, I know it's a little late to ask but did you solved the problem?, in my case in the morning I have to leave the switch on for at least 1 hour, after that the car turns on with no problem , but I'm still having the same problem the next day
