Are sunpro gauges really crappy/inaccure?

Axle/Gears: 3.07, 373, 4.10
Are sunpro gauges really crappy/inaccure?
I'm curious, I've installed one of their water temp gauges until I can replace the broken gauge in my cluster. Are these things known to be inaccurate? The reason I ask is that my cooling fan doesnt come on until 245 degrees and goes off at 235 according to this gauge..

i'd just spend a few extra bucks and get autometer. even the "cheap" autometer gauges are lightyears better than anything else.

If the cooling fan was actually being turn on/off based on the signal from the sensor the water temp gauge is reading I'd really be concerned, but it's not. There is a temperature difference between the engine temp and coolant sensor because of their location and accuracy.
