dipstick question

Ok I'm installing my 2460 headers today and took the dipstick out to get the passenger side in. The dipstick tube actually slide right out with no effort. My question is since it's a "press fit" should I enlarge the end of the tube so it stays in there? Seems like its going to work its way out especially since I dont see a bracket to secure it to unless I make one. thanks

Re: dipstick question

Is it possible it was not fully pressed in?

Re: dipstick question

You could ream the tube a little larger, or ever so slightly flatten the end a bit.

Re: dipstick question

It presses in all the way up to the lip, I was just expecting a tighter fit

I will check mine today, I believe mine moved a good 1/2" each way. Ill double check and let you know, maybe make a short video to show how mine is (and without leaks around it)
