Rebuilding my 350
I have a 88 iroc z in need of a bottom end rebuild. With all the products out there i as wondering what the best combination was for our tpi cars as far as the internals. Also what compression ratio should i be going for, I want the car to be a nice street and strip car. Hoping for 400 horse in the near future. Any help?

400 gross flywheel HP like crate engines are rated, or 400 net flywheel HP like factory ratings for the car?
Makes a big difference. The former can be accomplished, but the latter with TPI ain't gunna be easy or cheap.
Any particular reason for the 400 HP number?

Re: Rebuilding my 350
To get there, the most driveable way, and best-priced initially, is a nice 275-horse build plus a 125-horse shot of nitrous. The next up alternative is to switch to a shorter-runner intake and some better heads, and run it in a higher rpm range.
