Car pulls when braking...Why?

Whenever I have to brake quickly, my car pulls hard to the right. Even the steering wheel moves with it and it feels completely out of my control. Any ideas on what's wrong?

How are your brakes? have you inspected them? could be a warped rotor?

I haven't gotten a chance to inspect them yet but last time I checked the pads were wearing evenly. I'm pretty sure the rotors aren't warped.

Re: Car pulls when braking...Why?

Mine sat in my yard for 6 years and it does the same thing. I dunno why yet, as I haven't taken the tires off to look but theres break dust on the passenger front tire and none of the others, and it pulls to the right so idk wth is up with that.

Sorry I couldn't help more. Just check your rotors and calipers, and maybe bleed them.

Re: Car pulls when braking...Why?

check to see if brake fluid is leaking anywhere on the left side..this will put more pressure to the right side also..also check per portioning valve might be clogged up

yeah, chech your fluid, and check the lines as well.
My car was doing the same thing, and I found one of the lines was pinched.

Stock rubber brake hoses are shot, common problem.

Re: Car pulls when braking...Why?

I agree with the hoses being most likely. Brake hoses can look fine on the outside but be decayed on the inside. Result one side grabs and the other dosent.

Re: Car pulls when braking...Why?

I'll add one more for the hoses. There is something peculiar about these cars and the disc brake hoses. Corrosion forms in the tiny orifice at the fitting. For some reason the corrosion likes to form itself into one-way valves. Be glad that you didn't post "Hey, I slammed my brakes on today and now I can't drive my car; because now one of the front wheels won't turn until (insert random amount of time) elapses".

Re: Car pulls when braking...Why?

all of brake line ones . happened to me only worse . locked up R.F. brake . replace all flex lines , they are keyed L.F. , R.F. , & rear . good time to flush brake system . all kinds of nasty looking crud came out for me . bleed R.R. , L.R. , R.F. , L.F. , you and your passengers will be glad you did . good luck .
