tall Pro-Form valve covers+88-92 serp set up??

Using the serp (or gunna try) set up off the original L03 on the 357 im building and was wondering if anyone has ever used tall (Pro-Form) valve covers with the 88-92 serp set up? I ask because im wondering if the driver side valve cover will clear the alternator (or vise versa)

got tall elderbrock v-covers on mine and it clears the alt. but its stupid close to the power lead on it. Anytime I have to pull the cover I have to disconect the battery. Its literaly like a 16th of an in. away from it. Actually the pass. side is more of a problem because of the heater hoses. But I know I could fit a set of proforms or any other tall v-cover on it for that matter with very little to no fabrication.

I put a piece of plastic in between that power lead and the valve cover.

what kind of plastic did you use - it gets pretty hot under there.

It came from the plastic hanger that holds a Sears socket. I just hooked it to the wire and it shields that bolt from the valve cover. It's been on there for the past few years. I do have about 1/2" of clearance though.

Oh yeah, I also trimmed that bolt. It's was so long ago, I forgot about that.

Okay sounds good. So far it maybe a bit close but they'll fit...

I got the Billet Specialties tall style valve covers for my vehicle. Trimming the bolt was all the modification I had to do.

Okay well thats not too big of a deal, I just don't want the Alt grounding out on the valve covers...that would be ugly

I used an old boot off of a coil wire on mine, fits perfectly. Just removed the wire connector and fed the boot over the wire and clamped the wire connector back on the wire, screw wire on alt. and slide boot up....works great, in fact looks dang near factory.
