car messed up!!!!
OK. so its kinda long story but here it goes
Replaced the fuel pump at the beginning of this summer, car ran good until suddenly a busted fuel line. Fixed that then 5 minutes later another busted fuel line (under the car) At the same time, my charcoal canister starts to overflow with gas. Just wondering if anyone knows whats going on? My belief would be that the lines on the fuel pump are hooked wrong (Possibly the vent and return maybe?) Seems as though its building up pressure which led to the lines bursting. The pressure may also cause the gas to be forced from the tank to the charcoal canister. To make the best of things, the car now runs terrible again, i heard the pump whining when i last shut it down so i think the pump may be toast. No pressure on the fuel rail and no noise when i unscrew the gas cap. ANY HELP PLEASEEEEE. I want to get this car on the road! I'm thinking about taking the canister out altogether and replace the fuel pump again. The lines i thought were hooked up wrong but is there any way 2 can be switched and causing all this?
