Ok my 91 rs v8 has the usual puff on start up and once that clears up it doesnt smoke or anything.. if its being driven under normal circumstances it doesnt smoke. But every now and then.. if i get on it alittle.. the car ends up smelling like exhaust fumes inside.. sometimes when i look out the window when i pull over.. i see smoke and it usually clears up after a few seconds. Today i did it again but when i looked outside.. it wasnt smoking that much at all. but i still smelt the fumes. Cant really identify the smell.. I know i seafoamed the car a few days ago.. Didnt really take it out other then a short 2 min drive on the freeway.. other then that it has just been idling everday but i dont think seafoam stays in the system that long does it? The car runs excellent.. Probably the best running car ive had so far. It doesnt lag or anything on acceleration.. drives smooth and everything. Just this weird problem. ive only owned the car for 2 weeks. im planning on getting it insured tomorrow so ill be able to drive it farther distances.

 

Most of our cars do smoke a little at this point in their life. The potentially worrisome thing is the smell being inside the car. I don't know if your just getting a whiff of exhaust or if the cab is filling with the stuff. But I'd check and look for both exhaust leaks and holes on the floor. Be sure you aren't piping exhaust gas into the cabin.
