Valve Covers Help
Hey I am looking for some nice chrome valve covers to replace my old set. Will tall valve covers fit in a stock 90 GTA? Should I just go with stock or will tall valve covers be more useful in case of mods, etc? Thanks

Re: Valve Covers Help
Decided to keep the GTA huh Josh? Great choice. First of all tall valve covers will be a bitch install on the passenger side because of all the emissions stuff.
Personally I would just remove the stock ones and paint them nicely.
But edelbrock makes a nice set: 350-4246.
Good luck.

Re: Valve Covers Help
yeah decided not to sell it awhile ago...invested too much money and would just want another one anyway...just gonna fix what it needs, repaint and then some mods
I'm also thinking of removing alot of that emissions crap...just makes the engine bay way too cluttered. Are you on the GTA sourcepage I don't remember you.

Re: Valve Covers Help
I dont have any emissions stuff so you're on your own with that, but my tall covers are very close to the power lead on the alt like has been mentioned. I always forget to disconnect the battery cable so every time I go to pul the covers I get a nice zap and a new welded dent in the valve cover where it bumps against that screw.
Also, this probably wont matter to many of you either, but you also wont be able to remove the A/C compressor with the valve covers installed. Nothing else was really a big deal.

Ya, im removing that **** when I get home too. Josh, I'm the guy that came to Regina last year to see your car. And my dad said we'd go home and talk then call you. Then he just went back to my aunt's and got liquored up and forgot. Jesus I was ****ing pissed when that happened. Because we both really did like your car.
