what happened?
ok well I was driving my '90 rs and it started up fine nothin wierd and I went to register for school when we left it started up fine as well, soon after we were driving through a parking lot and it died. we had to start it up two or three times before we got it out of the way. I figured the battery died but it was fine and i noticed the AC was on and I shut it off and the car acted a little normal, it at least stayed running for more than five seconds, but when we went to drive it I had to push the pedal almost all the way down before it would go and it sounded like it was getting enough/ or too much fuel. so I don't know...please help, get my liscence next week need it running
thanks

thanks

Re: what happened?
Sometimes when the CTS (Coolant Temp Sensor) starts going bad it reads at extremely low temperatures. The computer thinks the temperature of the coolant is way too low and thinks the motor is cold and dumps tons of fuel in.
That's a cheap, simple solution/possibility. When the plug on my CTS broke (Should be right by the waterneck/thermostat housing) and it was making a bad connection it wouldn't run unless I nearly floored it to force it running but it woudlnt idle at all.
Could be almost anything, but that's one thing I'd check.
