Fixing a valve cover oil leak and need advice
I am currently on vacation but when I get back home I plan on putting in new valve cover gaskets. Since I have to remove the valve covers anyway, is there anything I should perform maintenance on in there or something I can upgrade easily? I dont want to have to take off the valve covers again in the near future so if there is anything else I can do in there while the covers are off, I would like to know. Thanks.

anytime you remove valve covers , just a general look over & clean . then make sure drain holes at lwr. front & rear of each cylinder head are not sludged up . they can cause oil to drain back to crankcase slowly . good luck .

If the valve guide seals are 10-15 years old it wouldn't be a bad idea replacing them while the valve covers are off.
