i have an 88 t/a with 305 tpi and it wont idle or keep running once it starts,I have replaced the iac vavle and installed to spec but wont run unless i unplug the maf sensor, it runs when i do that but it idles at about 1100 rpm and of course run rough at highway speeds.Is it a bad maf sensor ?Will a ODB 1 help me diagnose this problem?As soon as i plug the maf back in it wont idle.And how do check the Maf to make sure it's bad?
Any help with this woiuld greatly appreciated

connect the maf, start engine, slap the maf. if it surges then bam its the maf. test for codes jump the top two terminals (a and B) by your knees called the diagnostic link.with th key to on, (not start) it should shoot you sum codes
