1985 firebird stalling problems.
Ok so my stalling problem has been getting worse and worse. And I have no clue what it is. Its quite frustrating. My car is a 1985 fuel injected 2.8 V6. When i bought it the RPMs were around 1,200 for idle and it was during the winter. Now during the summer the RPMs are around 1,500. And my car constantly stalls at stoplights. I litterally have to keep my foot on the gas and the other on the brake to keep it going. If I dont the idle will drop down to 400RPM and stall out on me. I also checked for vacuum leaks and there doesnt seem to be any. Any ideas of what it might be?

try adjusting idle and a lot days the fuels being processed and the cheaper get out there, perhaps the fuel filter? i had the same problem with stalling, even bought the car as stalling at every stop. i didnt know much about cars then, but i just used fuel NOS fuel injector cleaner, but i found out that changing the fuel filter made it better.

I already looked it up. You have to disconnect the oxygen sensor, and do the whole process. Ive already done that though. It didnt help any.

Ive already checked for vacuum leaks, there arent any and I had 2 shops look at it and cant seem to figuire it out. Ive tried to set the idle to 800RPM but it will die if it goes anywhere near 700rpm on idle. The IAC is deff working also. It tries to correct itself but when it gets below 800 the engine will die.
