I removed all of the thermac stuff from my air cleaner and then rivited on some plates to block off the holes that were left. then i primed and painted it with spraypaint. I Think it looks pretty good! i also cleaned up the engine bay and removed some other smog junk since.

A pic from before cleaning and painting can be seen here:https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/auto...l-snorkle.html

thanks. I was told by someone today that the plates looked "cheesy" i like it though. Its way better than the thermac vacuum pumps anyways.

It looks good I need to do the same thing to mine. I found the decal for $10.99 on line at http://www.elcaminostore.com/product...2&dept_id=7888 Where did you find the tubes or duct work for the intake. I found the snorkels but can not find the tubes. I have a 1985 Iroc-Z 5sp 5.0 H.O.

yeah ive seen that and then shipping is like 5 bucks. rediculous price for a sticker if you ask me... but ducts came with the car, they were just off in the old pic. These will probably be hard to find. esp. in good condition. they have a metal coil on of wire on the inside that is pretty thin and bendable. the vinyl that makes up the ducting is thin and kinda fragile. mine are also rusty... i think those 3 things are what make these hard to find. it was just kind of a bad design that looked cool. my tuner friend with a honda though it was "sick" that I had "dual cold air intakes"
