car dies in motion

i have 91 rs tbi manual 5.0, recently overhauled the entire engine at a mechanic. now i have a problem that when i am driving in 4th or 5th gear and slow the car down it tends to turn off or if i am at a signal the rpm goes really low and it just dies. i have changed the spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, fuel pump fuse, cleaned the tbi. some guys says its an electric fault but cant quite pin point it, and it get really hot near the handbrake though i changed the gear oil twice, and the car drives rough after driving it for half an hour. and there is minor leak in the intake manifold.
Guys help me out on this one.

Re: car dies in motion

I would fix the intake leak first then see what happens. A leaky intake can cause a host of problems.
