Electronic spark control module -- where?

Hey guys, i am pulling code 43 on my car and alldata says something different than what the list of trouble codes here on the site say. Alldata says code 43 is ''Electronic Spark Control (ESC) retard signal for too long a time. causes retard in EST signal''...

it has troubleshooting tips but i dont know where the ESC is so I can't troubleshoot. The only thing i am pretty sure of is that it is not the same as the ignition module in the distributor. Any help would be appreciated.

it's a black plastic module over by the brake booster, the
module is about 2 1/2" square by about 5/8" thick with
a 5-pin plug,it's on a metal bracket with the vac sensor
and some relays.

Re: Electronic spark control module -- where?

The knock sensor is located in the right hand drain hole in the engine block. Right in front of the stater.

The knock filter is near the brake booster behind the relays. Black plastic module about 3 x 3 x 1/2" in sizes.
