Howling noise?

So sometimes my car makes this fairly loud howling noise that seems to come from the rear. It happens often when I am low on gas and make a turn, but have noticed it a couple times while doing some city driving and I will have plenty of gas. Has anyone had this problem before? Any ideas what it could be? I was thinking it could be the fuel pump, but it is fairly new...

Re: Howling noise?

I haven't checked the gear oil. But the tires are in good shape, a few months old. I will check out the fuel pump, but maybe my car is just part werewolf lol

Re: Howling noise?

I've just gone through four AC Delco fuel pumps. Three of them howled or sang. They are junk. When the tank is dry as you probably know the pump does not get lubrication. Once it's gone it doesn't matter whether or not you have gas in the tank. Buy any other replacement pump other than Delco.
