Cruise Control Question?

I might get the cruise control stuff from a guy that is selling to me. My car never had cruise control. His car is the same year as my 1988.

So this guy is selling the whole stuff to me. I was wondering how difficult will it be to install it on my Camaro?

Also, he is selling the steering column to me. Do I need a steering column from him or can I use my stock steering column? Are there two different columns with and without cruise controls in our cars? I am hoping not to get the steering column and can use my stock column.

Please let me know thanks.

As far as I know, only the turn signal, which incorporates cruise switch, is different.

Thanks, but he will give me the turn signal that has cruise switch on it. I could just take my switch out of the column and install the cruise switch signal in it? I believe I will have to run a wire down the column to the engine where all the cruise control stuff are?

Yes and yes (IIRC, the cruise connection would be under the dash). Sorry, it's been awhile since I messed with that stuff.

Great thanks.

So I should go ahead without getting the column correct?

You should be fine without the column.
