lots of smoke from crank case breather
When my car gets warm and im driving im getting a lot of smoke out of the crank case breather. So much that it will come inside of the car. It smells like burning oil. The engine has been rebuilt around 1000 miles ago and ran great before i put it into my camaro. When i drive my oil pressure is around 50 pounds and when i set at a red light its a little over 10. I have used both synthetic and regular oil. I blocked the breather off and it blew my dip stick tube out. Also I got a pcv style breather and ran it into the other pcv that runs to the carb and its still getting smokey. could it be oil coming by the rings? there is also 1 vacuum line on my intake that is just blocked off but it was connected to something before, but i dont know what. I really need some help with this.

Possible. Or it could be the valve guides worn. Did you replace those?. I know my car smokes a bit when i first start it. Because of that very same reason i left the car sit a while and the valve guides got worn. But still runs great wont' do nothing about it until i rebuild and mine is 60k miles on a crate engine.

Oh also in the back of the manifold? Being blocked off or where is it located? One is for the carb and your brake booster.

no they were not replaced. do you think my valves would be hurt to now? how much would a shop charge to replace the guides? its not coming from the carb. I have the booster hooked up and i dont think there is another vac. line from the back of it. but Its a line on a fitting that screws into the intake i just have it blocked off.
