new trany

so i found my problem my trany is shot i found a 91 firebird trany with the same 2.8L motor ive been told its the same trany i have now so it will be perfect just thought id get any other opinions thanks

Engine: L92/LQ4 (both w/4" stroke)
Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
A '91 would be a 3.1, but yes, if both are V6, the tranny will work.
