Keeping roller lifters with new cam
I have a tbi 305 and would like to change the cam soon, could I keep the stock roller lifters (am I correct that it has roller?), while replacing the stock cam? I know this can be harmful for non-roller systems, but have no idea for these.
Thanks

I suggest to read all the sticky posts in all the forums. Starting with the TBI forum, will make it a easy swap.

Re: Keeping roller lifters with new cam
So long as the roller lifters are sound and have no obviously defects , scoring of the rollers ,etc they can be reused on a new or used roller cam.
Flat tappet lifters must be matched to the cam lobe they came off and can not be reused on a different cam
