driveability problem. no saved codes
ok, right before I bought my car last week, I took it on a nice test drive, and it drive GREAT.... right after I paid the guy an left his house, it started throwing codes. not a steady light, but a random, flickering light, that sometimes would stay on for several seconds, and sometimes flash so briefly that it was barely a flicker.
this only starts happening after I've driven the car for 15 minutes or so. When the light flashes, there's a loss of engine power, like the car is stumbling and hesitating, but no much that it dies.
here's the odd thing, it's not saving any codes, when I use the diagnostic jumper, all it shows me is code 12
Also, today I was looking for vacuum leaks and a part broke off in my hand. I'm not sure it was ever intact, I'm wondering if that's part of the problem. please check you this thread for a photo of the part. I hate to take the car to the shop until I can at least fix what I KNOW is broken
can anybody help? this is a 89 2.8
