Nothing eletrical will work

I baught 2 new batterys, one my 1987 camaro, and one for my grandmas caprice, same battery, well anyways, i put mine in and try to get it going, and then after a few tries of cranking it, i do it another time, then it just quits, so i figured i either ruined the battery or it died, so i put in the other battery, and it's the same thing, nothing electrical will work, and my connections to the battery are good, so i have no idea what is wrong with my car.

You may have fried the chassis power fuseable link.

Re: Nothing eletrical will work

Sounds like you simply drained both batteries by trying to start a car that won't start.

Figure out why it won't start & your "electrical problems" will go away.

Yeah i asked my dad and he said it's probably the fusible link, and i am gonna go with that then too. I just baught the car, and the wiring is a complete **** job, and i just noticed a ground for the battery to the frame is disconnected, so that may be causing stuff to short out?

Not short out, but inadequate path.
