If the 1982 T/A has an electric Q-jet carb, (E4ME Q-jet), it is the LG4 305. Those parts will not swap over, as the '87-'92 SBC used a different style of heads & intake manifold that DO NOT interchange with the traditional pre '87 SBC design. The Q-jet would also be useless because the TBI's distributor & computer system (ECM & PROM) would not be able to read any of the data it needs to operate. It would be like trying to plug an Atari game into a Nintendo...
That said, $100 is a steal for an '82 T/A that is all/mostly original and complete, regardless if it runs or not. The car is worth far more than you realize and chopping it up would be a tragic mistake. I recommend selling the T/A on here and using that money to buy what you need to modify your '89 Firebird.

The intake interchanges between the different heads just fine when you modify the center bolt hole on the intake for the different bolt angle. Either way it's a moot point when you swap the heads along with the intake.Originally Posted by Brother Al

True, I should have clarified a bit more, but the basic mannerism of the post and the belief that the parts easily interchange made it easier to reply as I did. That route would offer very little value and the carb & dizzy would be useless. Selling the early Bird would give him capital to purchase a proper intake, HEI, and carb.
