ok so ive got a 91 tpi 350 ive cleaned the injectors and changed the plugs/wires it hasnt actually died on me "yet"but its getting worse.it runs just fine while driving but when i get to a light or put it in park the rpm goes high then real low and almost dies over and over.it never usually happens when the engine is cool but as soon as it gets a little warm...how can i fix this?

check the codes. if the coolant temp sensor is bad or open circuit it can cause that.

Check the IAC. The spring may be full of carbon and need cleaning/replaced.

have you done any work on this car before? cam tune . etc?

that can be a big deal in this.. i bought a car and have no clue what the guy did and i have that issue..... we data logged.. noticed the injectors in the car are bigger then stock.. its got 4 350 injectors and 5 305 on a 305 car..also the guy put a 350 pump in the car as well.... he said it was cammed and now were trial and error..we did the coolent temp sensor.. and other stuff and no prevail.. ill watch this thread and post if we come up with anyting.. (next on the list was the iac.....)

tried the cts and although it definetly needed changing anyways it made no difference but somethin else i just found out is my fans arent working so thats always good lol i think im gonna drop it off at the shop and just get charged alot of money for probably nothing haha
