Are all threads in the 86 camaro engine metric?

I bought some sunpro gauges and am thinking I'll probably need to order the metric adapters. But I wanted make sure first since the stupid things are probably going to cost over 15 bucks after shipping. Thanks!

you didn't mention a lot of info, like what engine you have or what gauges you're talking about.

Nothing you'd screw a gauge into is metric, it's all pipe thread.

Re: Are all threads in the 86 camaro engine metric?

Sorry, here are the gauges. http://www.sunpro.com/product_detail.php?pid=16316
I have a 2.8 V6 fuel injection. Then I found these http://www.sunpro.com/product_detail.php?pid=16338
http://www.sunpro.com/product_detail.php?pid=16339

And it says in the description "Two brass bushings for adapting mechanical water or oil temperature gauges or senders to metric thread engines." So some must be metric. I just figure since all of the other parts I have had to buy so far have been metric, I would need these metric kits also. But I wanted to make sure since they are kinda pricey. Thanks

Re: Are all threads in the 86 camaro engine metric?

In general, all the bolts in the body, suspension, transmission, accessories, and intake will be Metric. All bolts that thread into the V8 engine blocks are SAE. All ports for oil, water, etc are pipe thread. 1/8NPT, 1/4NPT, 3/8NPT.

The bulk of the fasteners in a 2.8 probably are metric, can't say that I've ever had a need to obtain new bolts for one.
