Rebuild Hydrolocked Engine

Hey guys, I am looking into an 87 Corvette 350 engine to rebuild and set into my 87 Camaro. I was wondering what I have to watch for. I know that it can mess up the rods, but what are the worst case scenario's. Thanks Guys

Tear it down and look. Only thing to do.

Is there I should look for on the out side to see if its worth buying as a rebuild???
