If anyone cares to humor me, HP Estimate??
Alright folks, I'm just a little curious as to what other people may think as to what kind of power I might be putting down. I honestly have no ideas...
(After a complete tear down and rebuild, no old parts were used)
L98 TPI
Comp Cams (.500/.510 Lift) Performance Roller Camshaft (Duration Unknown)
Comp Cams (1.6) Pro-Magnum Full Roller Rockers
Edelbrock High-Flo Intake Manifold
SLP Tuned Port Injection Runners
Edelbrock Shorty Headers
Block bored .30 Over
Flat-Top Pistons
MSD Ignition Box
MSD Blaster Coil
Accel 8.8 Spark Plug Wires
Ported, Matched, Polished, (Shaved?) Heads
K&N Air Filter
Extensive porting to TPI Plenum and SLP Runners
Throttle Body Coolant Bypass
Removed Catalytic Converter
Homemade Air Intake
Custom Burned Chip Based Off Car's Modifications
Shift Kit (Brand unknown)
Aftermarket Torque Converter (Brand Name Unknown)
160' Thermostat
Flowmaster 3' Single inlet-dual outlet muffler
All i'm wanting is some ballpark numbers...

If its anything in the 210-220 range I would say depending on port work to the heads and tune, it could be anywhere from 240-280 whp. Just a guess. SLP runners give you some more top end compared to other long tube runners which is good idea for the cam. Let it rev up alittle, that cam will go to 5500.
I figured a full bolt on car can be in the 240's range with stock heads/stock cam. Mild cam and some head work on a fresh bottom end with abit more compression than stock should easily get you another 20-40 hp depending on the work to the heads. Maybe even more. Its not uncommon to see mild port L98 heads and a hotcam make 300-320 whp with a full aftermarket TPI. So you may be up that high as well

Alright, So what's holding this engine back??
I've put so much money into this motor and all that gets me is another 50 HP over stock???

50 aint bad for a cam/intake swap on a TPI car with minor head work.
More power will be made with better intake like a short runner design... miniram/stealth ram/even superam with ported base. Those will give you much better gains in power for not much more cost (well miniram is expensive unless find used, hsr is more competitive with aftermarket TPI pricing, and superram is discontinued and rarer now, so finding one may bring more money these days)

That is the only way to know your horsepower. I did a quick Google search and found these two.
