Cam swap in or out of vehicle?
Here's the situation. I have two roller blocks, one in the car with ~110K, and one on the engine stand with ~90. I have some fast burn heads, an LT4 hot cam, and T56 in the garage I want to put on the car. Here are my choices
Option 1. Put the heads, cam, and trans on the engine in the car, while it's in the car.
Option 2. Slap the heads, cam, and trans on the engine that's in the garage, then swap the long block and trans thats out of the car for the one thats in the car.
I don't know which would be less work. Also keep in mind that there's about a 20K mile difference between the blocks.
Last ?. How many of you guys have done the cam swap without a degree wheel, and have had no issues.
Thanks in advance.
