No High Idle on cold Start up.

I started my 89 Bird with a 305 TBI and I no longer have a high idle speed on initial start. Runs ok but no high idle. Ideas?

Not completely sure, but could be a coolant temp sensor or maybe o2 sensor defective, making the car think its already hot on start up and defaulting to closed loop.

No problem. You can find out whats wrong more effectively by 2 ways. Easiest would be a scan tool. Just crank it up and see what values are for the 02 sensor and check freeze frame data from crank up and check coolant sensor. Next would be a multimeter. Look up what values the sensors SHOULD be at and see what you actually have and go from there. Good luck.
