Valve Cover area Smoking

I recently changed gaskets on both valve covers on my 86 Sport (305 carbed). It has been leakin a few drops of oil overnight and smoke appears when I stop and lift up my hood, I have re-replaced the gaskets but it is not helping. The smoke is coming from between the drivers side valve cover, and the (i may be wrong) but EGR manifold, its on the opposite side from the carburetor. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know asap.

I'd make sure your valve cover surface isn't warped and the gaskets are meeting up properly. Check and make sure you got all the old gasket crud out of the grooves too.
