IAC question
The car surges at idle, I just picked the car up and the previous owner replaced the IAC. I was told it needed to be reset by unplugging it and grounding something out.......how do I reset it to get it to idle nicely. It's a 350 TPI in a 89 t/a thanks!

Re: IAC question
I dont think its the IACs fault the surging idle is usually the EGR valve requiring attention.

Re: IAC question
Yep, surging is usually caused by a lean condition and the EGR could be causing that.
I can post the IAC re-setting procedure if you still need it. It involves jumpering the ALDL, key "ON", IAC disconnect, etc., etc. It's not too involved but rather than me trying to go from memory, and possibly getting something out of order, I'd prefer to find it in one of my saved files before posting.

Re: IAC question
Ok, if it helps the car even has surges at low rpm while driving, it seems almost like a
fuel problem, the pump is new but it's VERY loud for some reason.......this is why my race car is carbureted lol!
