305 rebuild in 15th anniversary T/A

I am new to both the Fbody cars and this website. I recently purchased a 1984 15th Anniversary Trans Am as a project car to restore. The interior is in fair shape, body is lazer straight, minimal rust etc. However got the motor running today and the rod bearings are out of the motor. It has the factor 305 H.O. numbers matching. I plan to rebuild the motor to retain the matching numbers. I have been looking around at 335 stroker kits or trying to make a 327 out of the motor. I plan to have the motor bored .30 over to freshen the cylinders up and also plant to put a semi mild cam in it. I have been looking around this website for a while and have noticed most discussions on 305's say to junk them and go with the 350, please dont waste my time with those suggestions because im keeping the original engine in the car and have no interest in a 350 swap. I want to know what suggestions(besides 350 swap) you all have and what problems i could run into with a 327 or 335 stroker thanks.
