Oil presure guage sticking

83 Z28 305 oil pressure gauge pegs out to the top of the gauge every time I start the car hot or cold. It stays there for about 10 minutes then go to normal operating pressure and works fine.
Can I just change the oil pressure gauge ? I have change the oil pressure sending unit. Also where can I get a gauge, the car is stock so I want to keep it that way.

That's pretty weird. Normally we'd say to replace the sending unit, but you've already done that.

Check the wire and make sure it isn't shorting to anything. Not likely, given the symptoms you describe, especially if it is consistent.

The only replacement you'll find is a used one.
