Will hotcam work in stock 305

Can anyone tell me if a hotcam will work in a 1988 stock 305 IROC, 5 speed? Looking for a more lopey idle. Any other cam suggestions for this stock setup?

Thanks

while that cam would give you a lopey idle, and would pass a tailpipe sniffer with a custom tune, and is cheaper than most roller cams, it's wrong for the combo you have. And any cam that gives you a lopey idle is going to require a custom tune.
You'd be much better off calling COMP and ordering an 08-000-8, 3051/3051-110. Install it on a 106 degree intake centerline.
This would drive and sound just like the SBF E303 cam, with a more reasonable 0.480" lift. Same idle quality as the hot cam, same lope, but better matched to your combo.
And since you want sound, do a Flowmaster American thunder cat-back, and do some headers. On the intake side, at least get an air foil for the TB.
